Barb grew up in Greater Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia where she earned a Bachelors Of Arts Degree. At UBC she played on the Varsity volleyball team where she was an All Canadian and later went on to play on the National Women’s team for eight years. During this time Barb also played professional volleyball throughout Europe and Asia and developed a love of travel as well as exploring different cultures.
Inspired by her interest in anatomy and desire to help others, Barb decided to pursue a career in massage therapy and attended the West Coast College of Massage Therapy where she graduated from the 3000 hour program in 2011.
Barb received training in various manual techniques such as Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations and myofascial release. Barb loves working with all types of people and coming up with a personalized therapeutic treatment to help her clients reach their optimal health.
